Terms and Conditions

Find a Ride is an independent driver-availability alert service. It does not book, dispatch, guarantee, or provide transportation and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any rideshare platform. Riders must request, confirm, and pay for every trip through the official rideshare app.

Driver SMS alerts

Participating drivers opt in directly when asking Find a Ride to add their mobile number to the local driver-alert list. By opting in, a driver agrees to receive recurring transactional text messages when riders in the selected service area are looking for rideshare availability and when service-related follow-up is needed.

Message frequency varies with rider demand. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Reply STOP to cancel SMS alerts or HELP for help. Drivers may also contact emporia.ks.findaride@gmail.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Optional rider updates

Riders can choose text or email updates for a single active alert. We send a verification code before enabling driver-response updates. Consent is optional; you can use the alert button and watch the page without providing contact information. Each signup sends up to four messages, including verification. Updates stop when the alert ends. Use the stop link in an update, or reply STOP to a text. Reply HELP for text-message help. Message and data rates may apply. Messages may be delayed or undelivered; check the page and your rideshare app for current availability.

Availability and responsibility

An alert does not guarantee that a driver will become available. Driver status information may be delayed or outdated. Riders and drivers remain responsible for using the official rideshare platform and following its rules, safety procedures, and payment process.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the alert service, attempt to evade alert limits, submit false information, interfere with the site, or use the service for unlawful purposes. Access may be limited to prevent abuse.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including our commitment not to share mobile opt-in information for marketing or promotional purposes.
